Caroline Dubuc developed this hearty meat and potatoes dish that combines the rich flavours of ground beef with the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes. It's a comforting meal that's ideal for chilly winter nights. The Beef Dip Seasoning includes classic flavours such as mushrooms and onions, embodying the essence of this Quebecois-inspired dish.

Ingredients
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Peel and dice sweet potatoes. Cook in boiling water until fork tender, about 15 min.
  3. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine seasoning and hot water. Set aside.
  4. In Sauté Pan, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, using Ground Meat Separator to break up chunks. Once cooked, drain excess liquid and add tomato paste; stir to combine.
  5. Add reserved seasoning mixture and peas. Simmer over medium heat for 5 min, or until liquid has reduced. Transfer mixture to an 8" X 11" baking dish.
  6. Once cooked, drain sweet potatoes. Add milk and butter. Using Ground Meat Separator, mash potatoes until smooth. Top meat mixture with potatoes. Season with pepper and bake 25 min, or until bubbly.
